Over Mother's Day weekend 2025 we opened our retreat center and had our first event. We premiered our Bee Sanctuary - which has a room for visitors to enter and observe the hives, breath bee air, and listen up close to the hive "voice".
We had an amazing sound bath experience on our meditation deck. Raphaela and Gustavo are Brazilian artists and they provided two hours of beautiful song and music along with guided meditations to enter and exit the amazing sound journey that these events provide. Afterward we had a blissful conversation over some high quality pu erh tea provided by Inner Earth Tea house.
Other activities included a trail building shift. We had some visitors from the Bay area who helped us define the nature trail and we began clearing the way with rakes, shovels, and loppers.
We had a structured talk about Initiation into Community and what that means in the context of modern life. We will post a video of that talk later this month.
Finally we offered garden tours. The gardens are evolving each year, it's a polyculture methodology and we are observing the vitality of gardening in harmony with nature rather than attempting to dominate it.
